Cypress Street Outfall Regional Stormwater Improvements Design-Build Project


Project Highlights
- Design and construction of approximately 7,300 linear feet of box culvert, laterals, inlets, and interconnections to the existing stormwater system.
- Incorporation of “green” solutions, to the extent possible, as part of the proposed stormwater infrastructure.
- Co-funded by the City of Tampa and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD).
Community Benefits
- Reduced frequent flooding in residential and commercial areas of W. Cass Street, N. Rome Avenue and W. Gray Street and surrounding areas.
- All existing potable water lines will be replaced and a new 36-inch water transmission main will be constructed.
- Enhanced pedestrian safety and mobility.
